Aamir Khan launches his nephew Imraan Khan in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, the third film produced under Aamir Khan Productions. It's directed by Abbas Tyrewala and also stars Genelia D'Souza, Naseeruddin Shah and Manjari Phadnis. Aamir has even roped in A.R. Rehman to compose the music for JTYJN to boost Imraan's debut film. However it seems like the film lacks in story, which is the most vital part of a film. How many times have we heard that a bad or so-so screenplay will never make a great fil. Looks like Aamir ignored that crucial principle specially when it is also Abbas Tyrewala's debut as a director. What is left is to see how Chhota Khan performs. Hope he proves to be a promising actor.

Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic is directed by Kunal Kohli and stars Rani Mukherjee, Saif Ali Khan, Amisha Patel, Rishi Kapoor, Shriya Sharma, Ayushi Burman, Rachit Sidana and Akshat Chopra. Ranbeer Talwar (Saif Ali Khan) gets to take care of four orphan kids as a result of a court order, however the kids don't like him and don't like to live with him. They do everything they can to make his life hard, and one day when they pray for help, God sends an angel (Rani Mukherjee as Geeta) to help them out. You could say it is an adaptation of the popular Walt Disney film Mary Poppins (1964). Should be a fun film to watch.

Singh Is King is a comedy movie by Anees Bazmee starring Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Neha Dhupia, Javed Jaffery, Ranvir Shorey, Om Puri, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sonu Sood and Kiron Kher. Akshay Kumar plays Happy Singh whose village is fed up of him for causing disastrous situations. In an attempt to get rid of him for a while, they send him to Australia to bring back Lakhan Singh aka Lucky (Sonu Sood) who is big figure in the underworld. The Akshay-Katrina pair has worked pretty well in the past, and this one seems a pretty good movie too.

Music of Sing Is King is composed by Pritam. I was pretty surprised when I heard Akshay singing the title song together with Snoop Dogg, who is a popular American rapper. Something like this hasn't happened before. If you are a Daler Mehndi fan, there a song for you too.

There isn't much known about what the film is about as it is still in production, at least I couldn't find any. However, what is really well known is that its music is composed by AR Rehman. And my hats off to Mr. Rehman for constantly creating such amazing music. He is a true genius, no doubt about it. I love this album. I think everyone will, maybe not the lyrics so much but the score is absolutely beautiful.

Mission Istanbul is a film by Apoorva Lakhia and stars Vivek Oberoi, Zayed Khan, Shriya Saran, Sunil Shetty, Shweta Bhardwaj and Abhishek Bachchan. Zayed Khan plays an up and coming journalist who is doing very well is offered a job at Al Johara, a news network based in Istanbul, Turkey. Al Johara is quite comparable to Al Jazeera who also air messages from terrorists quite regularly. Mission Istanbul is an action/adventure kinda film which tackles many of the current international issues, mainly terrorism. It was released last week on the 25th. Please do let me know if you like/dislike it.

Music of MI is composed by Shamir Tandon, Anu Malik, Mika Singh and Chirantan Bhatt. Doesn't seem like the collaboration between the four has resulted in anything above average. I was hoping something like the best of the four composers, but I'm disappointed. I guess I was expecting too much. These songs aren't that bad altogether, but they are at the same time not so good either. Anyways, just try 'em for yourselves. Cheers.

Ismail Darbar has composed some great music in the past this time around he hasn't done quite as good. But hey, if you are into this kind of music, you will love it.

Bachna Ae Haseeno tells the story of Raj (Ranbir Kapoor) and his relationships with three different women and what he learns from them and from life. I'm curious how both Ranbir and Deepika have performed in their second films.

Music of BAH is composed by Vishaal Dadlani. He's done an alright job. I might like the songs more on a second hearing, but right now I think they are just average songs, except the title song which is not an original song. It's a remix of the original Kishore Kumar song. I like the original better.

God Tusi Great Ho is the Bollywood version of Bruce Almighty. Arun (Salman Khan) is an unsuccessful TV anchor, and blames God for his misfortunes. God (Amitabh Bachchan) appears before him and gives him the power to run the earth for ten days. Even though I don't like watching remakes of Hollywood films, I really want to see this one, mainly because of Salman and Sohail's combo. They were really great in the last filmed they appeared together. I can't quite remember the name, but it was really funny.

Music of GTGH is composed by Sajid Wajid. I haven't listened to the whole album yet, so can't say much. I hope you like them.

Others major casts of Rock On include Arjun Rampal, Luke Kenny and Purab Kohli. It's directed by Abhishek Kapoor. The film is about four friends who put together a rock band called Magik, but never make it big. Many years later, they're back together and start things where they left off.

Music of Rock On!! is composed by Shankar Ehsan Loy who are I think the best to do a film like this. I love the songs. And Farhan Akhtar is a surprisingly good singer too. I think you are gonna love this one, so ENJOY!!

It's finally here everyone. Music of Jodhaa Akbar is released and it is absolutely superb. A.R. Rehman definitely has picked his top tunes for this movie. The best songs have to be Jashn-E-Bahaara and Azeem-O-Shaan Shahenshah which have been the backbone of all the promo clips of the film.

Jodhaa Akbar is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker and stars Hrithik Roshan as the Mughal Emperor Akbar and Aishwarya Rai as Jodhabai, the Rajput princess. It's tells the story of how Akbar married Jodhaa for political reasons but later fell in love with her. I can't wait to watch this film. It's set to release on 25 15 February. It's directed by Jaideep Sen. The are special appearances by Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan in the songs Break Free and Krazzy 4 respectively.

Music of Krazzy 4 is composed by Rajesh Roshan and it seems to be pretty popular. I haven't listened though. I hope you like it.

Shauyra is a film by Samar Khan which is about who sets to explore the issue of racism in India. A muslim army soldier who has apparently shot his senior officer is being court-martialled and his lawyer who initially isn't taking the case so seriously finds out with help of a female journalist that things aren't quite what they seem. Shaurya stars Rahul Bose, Minissha Lamba, Deepak Dobriyal, Javed Jaffery, Kay Kay Menon, Rozza Catalano and Seema Biswas.

Music of Shaurya is directed by Adnan Sami. The songs are average at most. Dheere Dheere is probably the best song of the bunch.

U, Me Aur Hum (2008)

U, Me Aur Hum marks Ajay Devgan's directorial debut which is also produced and written by him. He also stars in the film along with her wife Kajol, Karan Khanna, Isha Sharwani, Rituparna Sengupta, Sarika, Sumeet Raghavan and Divya Dutta. Wikipedia says it's Ajay and Kajol's seventh film together, but I can't remember which ones they are.

U, Me Aur Hum is about Ajay and Pia who meet on a cruiseship and despite Ajay's bad first impression in the form acting like fool while drunk they get married. But later Pia is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, the film show how they cope with the problems that come with the disease. I haven't seen the film yet, but from what I've read so far about it, it seems quite similar to the 2004 Korean film called A Moment to Remember. Now I'm not flaming Ajay for copying here, just saying they SEEM similar. I just hope that Ajay has made a good movie. Those of you who are into Korean films, watch A Moment to Remember. It's an amazing but sad film.

Music of U, Me Aur Hum is composed by Vishal Bhardwaj. Jee Le is an excellent song and the best of the album, followed by the title song. Bhram (2008)

Bhram is a film by Pavan S. Kaul and stars Dino Morea, Milind Soman, Simone Singh and Sheetal Menon. The movie's had mostly below average reviews. I don't know much about it though.

Anyway, music of Bhram is directed by Pritam and Siddharth Suhas. Listening to these songs literally gave me a headache. I don't know if the songs were completely at fault, as I had just returned from a very busy day when I decided to see how they were. The bottom line is that I didn't enjoy them the smallest bit. I've heard that sales wise Bhram's music did really great, which really proves that it wasn't the songs. I was me. I hope you are in a much better state when you are listening to them so you would know how they ACTUALLY are.

Superstar (2008)

Superstar stars Kunal Khemu in a double role of Kunal and Karan who both dream of bocming great actors. Even though Kunal is the more persistent and determined of the two, it's Karan who comes from a rich family becomes the superstar which also changes Kunal's life as he is the superstar's lookalie. Other cast of the film includes Tulip Joshi, Shreyas Talpade, Reema Lagoo, Sharat Saxena, Vrajesh Hirjee, Darshan and Aman Verma. Superstar is directed by Rohit Jugraj.

Superstar has a few nice tracks, particularly the songs Ajnabi sung by Raaj. The songs are composed by Shamir Tandon. I heard from somewhere that there was song by Atif Aslam in the album too. Seems like that wasn't accurate. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the songs. Cheers.
